I put my shoes on and off about 10 times before I finally decided to go the gym today (I kept telling myself I should/would be studying instead, then I realized I’m only lying to myself and I’d just be talking to people or messing around online) so on the shoes went and I did too! I swear it’s on days like this I end up having some of the best workouts. It’s like my body is telling me “See? And you didn’t want to go! // you doubted me!” haha (I was still feeling mighty sore from last time) Buck up, girl. Life is such a mental game! Play it right.
I felt so good afterward, and that’s the most rewarding thing. The key is to visualize that feeling when the workout is over and you’re trying to catch your breath, stop sweating and compose yourself. (Although I didn’t even break a sweat because it was an icebox in there today). It’s one of the greatest feelings, having your body thank you and you knowing you just did something really good for it. Then come the achy muscles because you did an extra set or a higher weight than normal. Ah, love :D
I went to the gym this morning for the first time since I came back, and they added a ton of new weight machines! They barely had any to begin with, and now there’s a huge section of them. So cool :D I remember the weights section being under construction before Christmas (it was always a pretty crap area to begin with) but I thought they were just re-flooring or something. This is great! World’s Strongest Woman coming to you in 2011. :]
